Indigenous Relations play an integral role in resource development throughout our country. It is our goal to go above and beyond consultation by ensuring that Indigenous communities are a priority, and stable and collaborative working relationships are established. Our experienced Consultation Liaisons will ensure that all parties are engaged appropriately to contribute to long-term project success.

Assist with relationship building through ongoing involvement and community investment, that is specifically designed for companies with long-term development plans.

Meet regulatory expectations, including engagement and consultation with Indigenous communities, Métis settlements, and other interest holders, for Freehold or Crown land projects.

Negotiate mitigation strategies to lessen the impacts on Indigenous Treaty Rights, and negotiate and develop Economic Benefit Agreements and Impact Benefit Agreements.

Work with clients and Indigenous communities to break cultural barriers and enhance capacity building.

Understand the challenges faced by clients and build, implement, and offer advice on strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure projects progress.

Provide possible solutions for consultation processes that have run into impasses due to communication breakdown, unmet expectations, or unresolved differences.

Develop and manage information databases with Records of Consultation, specific to each client and project, and in line with regulatory requirements.

Draft, review, and submit reports and filings in line with government and regulatory legislations, and complete application submissions to regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
